The season of Lent is the 40 days leading up to Easter. This is a time for Christians to reflect on the sacrifice Jesus made, giving his life on the cross, for all of humanity. We celebrate the coming resurrection of Easter with the assurance of new life through faith in Christ. Ash Wednesday is amreminder of our broken condition and the promise of our healing.

Sharing the Light of Christ through Worship, Service and Discipleship.

We believe in sharing and being the light of Jesus Christ to a dark and hurting world. We love to worship God and serve God's world together, side by side. Our congregation represents a wide spectrum of people from in and around the Hico, Texas, area who want to be true disciples of Jesus by sharing God's love through both actions and words.

Serving God by Serving Others

At FUMC Hico, we are dedicated to the idea that the Kingdom of God is not only a glorious future but something we are called to represent in the now. We consider serving our community to be an important act of Worship that brings glory to God.
