Welcome to

First United Methodist Church

of Hico, Texas

We are a casual, friendly, accepting, non-judgmental group of imperfect people from diverse backgrounds gathered together to love and serve God and all creation. We believe faith is a journey that is best navigated together in community with each other. No matter where you are in your faith travels, we invite you to come along with us as we grow in love and fullness of life through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We're at 400 W. First Street in Hico, Texas.

Worship with us for the season of Advent

The word "Advent" comes from Latin meaning "arrival" or "coming." We celebrate the arrival of our Messiah 2000 years ago and  patiently prepare for his coming again. Our sermon series will explore the absence of worldly peace in a broken and hurting world that needs to know the internal spiritual peace through the real presence and future return of Christ.

Join us each Sunday at 10:50am.

Sunday 12/16 at 10:50 is our Christmas Cantata.

We will have a special Christmas Healing Service on Sunday 12/16 at 4pm.

Bring the Family

Bring your family and invite your neighbors to join us for a traditional Christmas Eve service with Holy Communion and Candle lighting 6pm in our historic sanctuary.

Sharing the Light of Christ through Worship, Service and Discipleship.

We believe in sharing and being the light of Jesus Christ to a dark and hurting world. We love to worship God and serve God's world together, side by side. Our congregation represents a wide spectrum of people from in and around the Hico, Texas, area who want to be true disciples of Jesus by sharing God's love through both actions and words.

Watch or listen to our live Sunday worship.

You can now join us in worship from anywhere. We broadcast live video from our facebook page or listen to live audio from the player on this website.

Serving God by Serving Others

At FUMC Hico, we are dedicated to the idea that the Kingdom of God is not only a glorious future but something we are called to represent in the now. We consider serving our community to be an important act of Worship that brings glory to God.
