Sunday Worship 10:45

Sunday School 9:30

"The light of Christ  shines in the darkness."

You'll find some folks in jeans and some in suits, but all with a friendly smile. We invite you to come just as you are. Pastor Don's message is always relatable, relevant, encouraging, and scriptural. Our music is a blend of classic hymns and contemporary worship songs with a little southern gospel sprinkled in. Piano, guitar, and spirited choir lead us into praising our great God together. The sacrament of Holy Communion is offered the first Sunday of each month.

Here are some recent live worship services

Recent Wednesday Online Worship

We all need to refocus our hearts on Jesus everyday. By the middle of the week, we need recharging. During your lunch hour, join us on-line for a brief time of prayer, scripture, and music every Wednesday at 12:30 pm.

Good Things are Happening Here!

But someone will say, "You have faith and I have works." Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. James 2:18

Welcome New Members

We are honored to welcome Jim and Pat Stracener, and Linda White to our church family.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Come and join our Prayer Shawl Ministry on the second Tuesday of each month at 5:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.  No experience is necessary.

The Healing Shawl

This is love... that I know.

It's not the love of my youthful days

But the love of a stranger far away.

She knitted for me a healing shawl

And prays for strength if I should fall.

These silky strands which embrace my soul

Surround me with love and make me whole.

Below this warm fabric lay the depth of its meaning

Healing and love is what it is bringing.

The love of strangers, family and friends,

Nourish my body and urge it to mend.

Marilyn Maxen and Carol Wertheimer

First Hico Relief Initiative

The Holy Spirit has inspired this special fund established to help those facing financial difficulties due to the global pandemic or natural disaster. So far, over $8,000.00 in aide has been distributed locally to those in need. Donations to this outreach ministry can be made online through our website. We can distribute up to $250.00 to qualifying individuals and families. You can nominate individuals or families in need by sending an email to pastor@fumchico.org

Family Movie Nights

Everyone is Welcome!

It’s time to be re-united as a community-wide family.

We invite you and your family and friends and everyone in the greater Hico community to join us at our safe outdoor space at the Family Life Center. With a nod to the Drive-In theaters of long ago, we gather together for hot dogs, popcorn and a family-friendly movie. A play area equipped with outdoor games, activities, and a sand box is also provided.

Email us at office@fumchico.org for more information.

Historic in the Present

Faithful Methodists have been worshiping in this same spot since 1881. While we are proud of our legacy, we do not live in the past. Our history calls us to live in the present and prepare for the future. Some parts of our worship include classic liturgical elements while avoiding getting lulled into numb repetition. Technology is no stranger in our sanctuary, with the regular use of outstanding audio and video.
